New Works has its next musical and it’s a holiday hit: a fun 45 minute musical that is perfect for the entire family!
Show Times: December 5th, 6th, & 7th @ 7:30pm and December 7th & 8th @ 2:00pm
Show Venue: Rebel Church: 15909 San Pedro Ave Unit 105
Show Synopsis: VHS Christmas Carol is an 80s themed retelling of the classic Dickens Christmas Story. Follow Ebenezer Scrooge as he gets a visit from “3 Spirits” and learns the meaning of “Christmas Electricity” in this fun 45-minute show for a good cause this Holiday season! After the Saturday matinee, join New Works San Antonio for an auction to get some tax-deductible Christmas shopping done and enjoy a showcase featuring some of our talented students and educators. We are so excited to be spreading around some Christmas Spirit(s) in order to fund a Spring semester of educational classes!
This show will be a party for the community made with the community!
Each performance will have a preshow full of activities designed to engage with different parts the community!

Community Nights:
12/05: Community Night:
Join us at 6pm for our community night where we host a pre-show cabaret full of performances from members of our community. Then join us again at 7:30 for our opening night of VHS Christmas Carol!
12/06: Artistic Night:
Join us at 6pm for our Artistic night where we host an hour and a half open mic for artists of all kinds. And be sure to stay after at 7:30 for our second showing of VHS Christmas Carol
12/07: Fundraising
Night:
This jam-packed day starts with a 2pm showing of VHS Christmas Carol as well as some special fundraising events! Join us from 5pm-7:15pm for our annual winter gala! it’ll include a past, present, and future themed cabaret, activities, auction items, festive fun, exciting announcements, food, and more! don’t forget to stay after for our 7:30pm night show to fully take time to enjoy your festive fun and food: all for a good cause!
12/08: New Worker Appreciation Night:
Join us for our 2pm matinee and closing performance of VHS Christmas carol then (if you are a current or future new works student) stay after for a casual holiday party to celebrate you the New Workers that drive us!
