  • Wren Ramos > Executive Director

    she/her/hers

Wren Ramos founded New Works SA through the Stumberg Entrepreneurship Competition with the idea of creating a space where young San Antonio artists could freely express themselves. What began as a platform for artistic exploration quickly evolved into a full-fledged theater education program, thanks to the collaboration and vision of Education Director Jo Jones. Together, they recognized that to help San Antonio’s creative community thrive, they needed to invest in theater education that was accessible, inspiring, and open to all students. With a background in theatre and communication—specializing in marketing and media—Wren is passionate about storytelling in all its forms. As a playwright, poet, and director, she explored her craft extensively during her time at Trinity University, shaping the way she approaches theater education today. Beyond New Works, Wren serves as the Assistant Director of Annual Giving at Trinity University, helping connect students and young alumni with opportunities to support their community. While she holds the title of Executive Director at New Works, Wren leads by listening—both to her incredible team and to the students she serves—ensuring that New Works always stays true to its mission: empowering young artists and fostering a love for storytelling. Wren is always helping with fundraising and house for every production but is very excited to be co-directing their first educational show with New Works “The Crucible” this summer.
