OUR MISSION

New Works aims to provide sustainable, equitable, and accessible theatre education in San Antonio and performance that empowers students as creators and artists, helping them to find personal, academic, and artistic success and fulfillment.

OUR VISION

Art prepares us for the world, making us better creators, communicators, and people. So often, however, opportunities for artistic expression are restricted by cultural, political, and financial barriers. We dream of a world where opportunities for artistic creation and collaboration are available and accessible to all - regardless of race, gender identity, and socioeconomic status.

**Champions fore Charity Fundraising Campaign**

From October 15, 2025 to April 14, 2026, New Works will be participating in the Champions fore Charity fundraising program, sponsored by Valero. All proceeds from the campaign will directly benefit New Works’ Amplify Accessibility Scholarship Fund to support San Antonio students for years to come. Once we have raised $1,000 in funds, the foundation will begin matching our donations! Any donation, big or small, helps us continue our youth program - if you would like to contribute to New Works’ continued legacy, please donate at the link below!

Check out our 2026 Season!

This season our Artistic Director, Jo Jones, is taking us on a journey of Fantasy, Monsters, and Myths. From Mythology musicals like Hadestown: Teen Edition, Jasper in Deadland, and The Lightning Thief to our upcoming play She Kills Monsters; we look forward to enchanting and captivating students and audiences alike with this incredible season.
